Morphology and Anatomy:

Usually slender, elongate, small species. 

Sexes similar. 

Stylet usually small, delicate. 

Esophagus with slender procorpus, median bulb absent. Esophageal glands symmetrically, abutting intestine. 

One female genital branch, anteriorly developed. 

Tail long, conoid to filiform

Life Cycle:

Some species are alternative life cycles for insect parasitic nematodes and are thought to feed on fungi, algae, or root hairs of higher plants. Examples: Fergusobia, Deladenus.
